Mark Wills is a popular country music star who first came to fame when he signed a deal with Mercury Records between 1996 and 2003. He has so far released 7 studio albums, one live album and 5 compilation albums. To date he has released 22 singles and had 3 number one hits.
Daryl Mark Williams (better known by his stage name Mark Wills was born on the 8th of August 1973 in Cleveland, Tennessee, USA. He and his family later moved to Blue Ridge in Georgia. His initial musical influence was the rock group Bon Jovi but during his late teens, he started to develop an interest for country music. After winning a singing contest at 17, he began to perform at local venues before moving to Nashville to pursue a career in country music.
In 1998, Wills wom the Academy of Country Music award for “top new male vocalist”.
